12 Hour Limit - How are hours reduced?

Overview

Individuals are limited to billing actual and reasonable time for services up to a presumptive maximum of twelve billable hours per day. This is not 'per bill' but cumulative daily hours billed.

The Court Cost Vendor Manual describes how to request a waiver in excess of 12 hours; however in absence of a waiver a bill or bills will be reduced as required to the maximum of 12 hour per day.

If there are activities on the dates to be reduced that are paid at different rates (for example 'Travel') then the activities that are paid at the lower rate will be reduced first. Any additional hours that need to be reduced will be from activities billed at the vendor's hourly rate.
